Joan of Arcadia- In the Pilot Episode Joan Meets God. Listen to her conversation with God.This segment is part 2/5. It begins with the key conversation, pauses for her French class, and continues after class. If you have no experience with the series, you may want to watch part 1 first( Joan of Arcadia S1 E1 Part 1/5 ).
SomeQuestions:
When God speaks to you, how do you answer him? Have you ever told God to go away? And isn't it frustrating when all you are left with is the Why, when what you really want is answers.?
My Thoughts:
In the first scene with God, when He reveals himself to her, She tells him to never talk to her again. I think that I might respond the same if some guy began telling me He was God. I mean honestly how crazy is that. God in human form talking as if He was one of us. Then again isn't exactly what Jesus did? Come down to Earth and take human form in order to fulfill his plan.
God in the series is clearly willing to tell Joan what He wants, yet doesn't elaborate on the why or the how. God is omniscent. He knows all, and His plan is beyond my comprehension. When He speaks, He speaks through people, the Bible, circumstances, and prayer. I don't have to understand Him, just join his mission and do what and be where God asks me. That seems simple, and yet it is so hard. Especially when the directions God gives seem odd, or hard, or confusing.
And Now What do you think?

Most weeks will have an additional media aspect added to the meeting. We will have music, video, and maybe some other creative expressions. The focus of the evenings will vary as we progress through the book.
